Account & sign-in

I can't sign in with Apple

Make sure you're signed in to iCloud on your device (Settings → [your name]). If you previously signed in with a different method, use that method. If Apple Sign-In still fails, email [email protected] with the email tied to your Apple ID and we'll sort it out.

I forgot my password

On the sign-in screen, tap "Forgot password" and enter your email. You'll receive a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if it doesn't arrive.

How do I delete my account?

Open the app → Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, helpers, message history, and reminders. Deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

If you can't access the app, email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll delete it for you.

Notifications & reminders

My reminders aren't firing
  • Open iOS Settings → Notifications → Helpli and confirm "Allow Notifications" is on, including Sounds and Banners.
  • Check Settings → Focus — Do Not Disturb or a Focus mode can silence reminders.
  • Make sure Helpli has Background App Refresh enabled: Settings → General → Background App Refresh → Helpli.
  • Force-close and reopen the app, then open the helper to confirm the schedule is saved.

If reminders still don't arrive, email [email protected] with the helper name and the time you expected a reminder.

Reminders arrive at the wrong time

Check your device time zone (Settings → General → Date & Time). If you travel, toggle "Set Automatically" on. Then open the helper in Helpli and re-confirm the schedule.

Can I change a reminder time without deleting the helper?

Yes. Open the helper and tap the time or schedule to edit it, or just chat the change ("move my reminder to 3pm") and your helper will update.

Subscriptions & billing

How do I manage or cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are billed through Apple. To manage or cancel:

  1. Open the iOS Settings app.
  2. Tap your name at the top, then Subscriptions.
  3. Select Helpli.
  4. Choose a different plan or tap Cancel Subscription.

Your subscription stays active until the end of the current billing period.

I was charged but can't access premium features

Open Helpli → Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that was used for the purchase. If the charge still isn't reflected, email [email protected] with a screenshot of the charge.

How do I request a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Helpli charge, and choose "Request a refund." Apple typically responds within 48 hours.

Does the subscription auto-renew?

Yes. Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date. See the Terms of Service for full details.

Privacy & data

How do I export or see my data?

Email [email protected] from the address on your account and request an export. We'll reply within 30 days with a copy of the data we hold.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting your account (above) removes your data. You can also request deletion by emailing [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy.

Something isn't working — how do I report it?

Email [email protected] with:

  • What you were trying to do
  • What happened instead
  • Your device model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
  • The Helpli app version (Helpli → Settings → About)
  • A screenshot or screen recording, if possible
