1. Acceptance of Terms
By downloading, installing, or using the Helpli mobile application ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
Helpli provides personal helper tools that send you reminders, suggestions, and information based on preferences you configure. The App includes helpers for areas such as:
- Medicine reminders and health-related notifications
- Family check-ins and communication prompts
- Daily briefings, meal suggestions, and home care tips
- Job search assistance and career coaching
- Baby development tracking and date night ideas
Helpli is a convenience tool, not a medical device, employment agency, or professional advisory service. See Section 8 for important disclaimers.
3. User Accounts
To use Helpli, you must create an account through our authentication provider (Supabase Auth). You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information during registration
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- Maintain only one account per person
You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the App's systems or other users' accounts
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- Use the App to harass, abuse, or harm others
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the App
- Use automated scripts or bots to interact with the App
- Misrepresent your identity or impersonate another person
5. Your Data
You retain ownership of all data you provide to Helpli, including your helper configurations, chat messages, and personal information. By using the App, you grant us a limited license to use this data solely to provide and improve the service.

6. Intellectual Property
The Helpli app, including its design, code, content, features, and branding, is owned by Helpli and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
7. Notifications and Communications
Helpli sends notifications as part of its core functionality (reminders, suggestions, updates). By using the App, you consent to receiving these notifications. You can manage notification preferences in your device settings or within the App at any time.
8. Disclaimers
The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
- Not medical advice. Medicine reminders and health-related features are convenience tools only. They do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider for medical decisions. Do not rely solely on the App for critical health reminders.
- Not an employment service. Job-related helpers provide suggestions and coaching tools only. Helpli does not guarantee job placement, interview success, or employment outcomes.
- Not financial or legal advice. No content in the App should be interpreted as financial, legal, or professional advice.
- Not a childcare substitute. Baby milestone features provide general developmental information only. Every child develops differently. Always consult a pediatrician for concerns about your child's development.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Helpli and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to:
- Missed or delayed notifications or reminders
- Inaccurate suggestions or recommendations
- Loss of data or unauthorized access to your account
- Service interruptions or downtime
Our total liability for any claims arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim, or $50, whichever is greater.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App and delete your account at any time. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or engage in conduct that we determine, in our sole discretion, to be harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We will delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by other reasonable means. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the courts located in California.
